Meet Kaitlyn

I joined Inspire in August 2025 as a Manager, focusing on client relations, compliance, and team engagement. It’s only been a short time since I started, but the experience has already been incredibly eye-opening, especially from a culture point of view.

Everyone here comes from different backgrounds, and that diversity brings so much value. The way Inspire operates truly feels like a team – not a group of individuals working in silos, but one united crew where collaboration and learning go hand in hand. It’s refreshing to be part of a workplace that lives and breathes that kind of culture every day.

What do you find most fulfilling about your job?

Knowledge sharing, without a doubt. One of my favourite parts of the job is taking the time to help my team fill any knowledge gaps and really understand the why behind what we’re doing. That deeper context helps everyone grow – not just technically, but professionally too.

How did you become interested in accounting?

I fell into accounting. I started 10 years ago as a receptionist in an Accounting firm in Emerald QLD and in the last 8 years I’ve been working my way through every job title between receptionist to manager which provides me with a jack of all trades knowledge on all levels in an accounting firm.

What is your favourite thing about working at Inspire?

The people and the clients. Everyone across the team has been so welcoming, and the culture of collaboration and learning is unlike anywhere else I’ve worked. The training focus is strong, and the feedback loop between teams is always positive and productive.

As for the clients – they’re genuinely invested in working with us to achieve their goals. It’s incredible to partner with people who share their vision so openly and are committed to making their investments work for them. Seeing that kind of growth firsthand is really rewarding.

What’s one of the biggest impacts you’ve made so far?

Definitely on the team side. I’ve loved being able to share knowledge and watch the team develop their accounting and professional judgment skills. The quality of the questions and discussions coming through lately shows just how much everyone’s growing – and I’m confident they’ll continue to be valuable assets in every project they take on.

Outside of Inspire

Outside of work, I’m probably playing tourist in my own city! I moved to Brisbane about four years ago from rural Central Queensland, and I’ve loved exploring everything the city and its surroundings have to offer. From weekend markets to coastal drives, there’s always something new to discover.

Fun Fact about me

I love baking and trying out new recipes I find online. I can’t resist grabbing a Woolies Fresh Ideas magazine whenever I’m shopping. My mum was an avid baker, with a cupboard full of old cookbooks… though a few of them may have “migrated” into my kitchen over the years!

Books, Podcasts, or Shows I Recommend

I’m a big fan of podcasts that dive into people’s stories and lived experiences. Two of my favourites are Diary of a CEO and 15 Minutes with the Boss – they’re full of great insights and lessons from leaders across different industries.

Which Sustainable Development Goal(s) do you choose and why?

Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Access to clean, running water and proper sanitation should be a basic human right. It’s something many of us take for granted, but in so many parts of the world, it’s still a major challenge. Contaminated water is one of the easiest ways for people to get sick, and yet it’s so preventable with the right infrastructure and education. Supporting clean water and sanitation efforts is something I believe can make a lasting difference in global health and equality.
