One of the questions we get asked is, “How can an accountant help business owners?”
Our initial focus is on exploring potential tax-saving opportunities for our clients. To accomplish this, we offer a service called ‘Look Under The Hood’ or a second opinion on their tax. This involves reviewing the financial statements and tax returns prepared by their current accountant to identify any overlooked tax-saving strategies.
More often than not, we uncover substantial tax savings for our clients, amounting to thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars. We strive to ensure that our clients benefit from every legitimate tax strategy available to minimise their tax burden.
Our clients can begin their engagement with us at any point during the financial year. Waiting until June 30th to finalise your affairs is a common misconception. In fact, it’s beneficial to involve us earlier in the year so we can perform Tax Planning and assist you in making the optimal decisions before the end of the financial year, maximising tax savings.
Even if it’s already September or October, it’s still a suitable time to approach us, as we can run through Tax Planning with you after the financial year has concluded. This way, we can still take advantage of post-year-end decisions.
If you’re unhappy with your current accountant’s level of support, it’s best to switch to a more reliable one as soon as possible. And regardless of the time of year, we encourage you to contact us at any time if you’re interested in finding out if we’re the right fit for you.
