Meet Liane

Liane joined the Inspire team in 2024 as a Client Services Coordinator with Team Riz, and she’s already made a great impact. She’s been managing a range of tasks—everything from onboarding and PAYG processing to document management and even a few calls with the ATO. Her experience here so far has been incredibly positive, and she’s expressed how much she values the structure and support within our team. What’s been most fulfilling for Liane is the chance to learn and contribute meaningfully, even as a newer member. As she gets more comfortable with our processes, she’s looking forward to taking on even more responsibilities.

Outside of Inspire

When Liane’s not at work, she’s all about spending quality time with her family. On the weekends, you can find her visiting her in-laws or heading over to her parents’ place, which is just a short distance from her own home. Liane loves being able to be so close to her extended family – it’s a real blessing, she says, to have that support system nearby. She especially enjoys taking her 3-year-old daughter to the park or the mall, watching her little one run around and play. Family is everything to Liane.

Outside of family time, Liane has a few other passions. She’s been an active member of her church choir since she was a kid, and she still loves singing with the group. Liane’s also quite the cook, drawing on her Pampanga roots to whip up all sorts of delicious Filipino dishes. It’s clear that when Liane’s not busy at Inspire, she’s cherishing quality time with her loved ones and indulging in her creative hobbies.

How did you get interested in Client Services?

Lianne began her career with a degree in accounting, working as an accountant for a global fast-food chain. Yet, her heart was truly in teaching. During college, she spent her summers volunteering as a kindergarten teacher, and this led her to a fulfilling seven-year journey as a university professor, teaching management and accounting.

Although she loved teaching, the financial rewards didn’t quite match her needs. When a friend suggested a virtual assistant role, Liane saw it as a new opportunity to blend her skills in admin work with her accounting background. She took on the role, discovering a knack for the process-oriented nature of client services, and quickly moved into her position as Client Services Coordinator at Inspire.

What do you love about Inspire?
For Liane, there are a few things she truly loves about her role at Inspire. At the top of the list is the supportive, welcoming nature of the team. As a new member, Liane shares that she’s never felt out of place—everyone has gone out of their way to make her feel at home. She also values the variety in her role as Client Services Coordinator. Instead of being boxed into one task, she’s had the chance to work across different areas, from onboarding and PAYG processing to ATO calls. This variety keeps things interesting and helps her keep building her skills. Lastly, Liane feels energised by the team culture at Inspire. It’s a well-organized, process-driven environment, yet it stays collaborative and encouraging. She’s excited to keep growing and stepping up as she settles into her role.
Why did you join inspire?

Liane was drawn to this role at Inspire for a few key reasons. First, her interview with Ben left a lasting positive impression. The connection she felt with the team was immediate and energising. Liane’s background with another Australian accounting firm gave her the perfect foundation for the virtual setup here, so the transition felt natural. Most importantly, the tasks and responsibilities of the Client Services Coordinator role matched her skillset perfectly—she felt ready to hit the ground running. When the offer came through quickly, it was a no-brainer. She was thrilled to join the Inspire team and put her diverse experience to work.

Fun fact

Liane has been an active member of her church choir since childhood and still loves performing with the group to this day. Music has always been a passion of hers, and she finds great fulfilment in using her vocal abilities to uplift her community through song.

Her singing skills aren’t limited to the church, either. She also enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen, drawing on her Pampanga roots to create all sorts of delicious Filipino dishes. Liane takes great pride in her culinary skills and loves sharing her creations with family and friends. Whether it’s belting out hymns or whipping up a mean sisig, Liane’s hidden talents showcase her diverse interests and abilities beyond her professional life.

Favourite Show

Liane is a big fan of the long-running Law & Order franchise, as well as medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Doctor. She finds these types of shows captivating, as they delve into the complexities of the legal system and human nature.

Which Sustainable Development Goal(s) do you choose and why?

When discussing the Sustainable Development Goals, Liane was particularly drawn to the goal of “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.” This resonates deeply with her, as she has witnessed firsthand the issues of inequality and lack of justice in the Philippines. Liane shared her concern for underprivileged individuals in her country who often face unfair treatment, even in critical areas like healthcare. She feels that those with wealth and power can exploit the system, while the less fortunate are left without support.
Liane believes that building strong, trustworthy institutions and ensuring equal access to justice are crucial steps toward creating a more just and peaceful society. She sees this as an area in need of significant improvement in the Philippines, where the privileged sometimes evade accountability. Liane hopes that by focusing on this Sustainable Development Goal, real progress can be made to empower marginalised individuals and provide them with the same rights and protections as those with resources.
