Meet Abbie

I joined Inspire in August 2025 as a Client Services Manager, and it’s been an exciting and meaningful journey so far. I oversee the Client Services team, making sure deadlines are met and that everyone has the support they need when things get busy. I also back up our Client Services Coordinators when they’re on leave, clear the Help Inbox and ATO mail, and make sure ASIC annual statements are sent out daily.

A big part of my role involves improving our processes – creating and updating templates, documenting procedures, and helping streamline how both teams work together. I love collaborating with the team to solve issues quickly and keep things running smoothly.

When I first joined Inspire, I’ll admit it was a bit of a roller coaster – learning new systems, catching up on backlogs, and getting used to how things were done. But with the team’s support, encouragement, and guidance, it became a rewarding experience. Every day feels like progress, and I’m grateful to be in a place that values growth and teamwork.

What do you find most fulfilling about your job?

I’ve always found helping others to be the most fulfilling part of what I do – whether it’s assisting with a simple task or resolving a complex issue. Knowing I can make things easier for someone else gives me a real sense of satisfaction and purpose.

How did you get into client services?

Before joining Inspire, I worked as an Executive Assistant. That role gave me hands-on experience with admin, HR, and client interactions – everything from staff coordination to handling payables and receivables. Through that, I discovered my passion for client service and supporting others.

It’s incredibly fulfilling to help both clients and teammates while contributing to overall efficiency and service excellence.

What is your favourite thing about working at Inspire?

Definitely the work-life balance. I really appreciate that Inspire promotes a healthy environment where there’s no pressure to finish everything in one day. We focus on what’s urgent, manage the rest in good time, and make space to rest and reset.

Even little things like our Monday or Friday check-ins make a big difference -helping us relax, refocus, and head into (or out of) the week with positive energy.

What is one of the biggest impacts you’ve made so far?

Even though I’ve only been here a couple of months, I’ve helped the Client Services team reorganise procedures and stay on top of key tasks through reminders and process improvements. It might not be a huge impact yet, but I’m proud to be someone my teammates can rely on for support and collaboration.

Outside of Inspire

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I often go out with my mum, sisters, and brother-in-law – we enjoy exploring new places to eat, especially those with nature views. Sometimes it’s as simple as sharing a meal in front of the house, but those moments always feel special.

I also love catching up with friends over coffee – it’s my way of recharging and keeping connections strong.

Fun Fact

I don’t drink pure milk – but I love milk tea! It’s funny because I can enjoy Korean desserts like bingsu (shaved ice with milk), but too much milk makes me feel sick. When I was pregnant, I had to drink milk for my baby’s health, so I’d take it in one go with a chocolate or fruit chaser just to keep it down. Definitely not your usual milk lover’s story!

Books, Movies, or Shows I Recommend

When I was younger, I loved reading books like Sweet Valley High, Nancy Drew, Twilight – I could stay up until 3 AM just to finish a book! These days, I don’t have as much reading time, but I highly recommend The Purpose Driven Life. It helped answer many questions I had about life and gave me a clearer sense of direction and meaning.

Which Sustainable Development Goal(s) do you choose and why?

Goal 1: No Poverty

I believe that if poverty is eliminated, many other goals – like Zero Hunger, Quality Education, and Good Health – will naturally follow. I’ve always wanted to help those in need, even in small ways, like supporting street kids who sell flowers to fund their schooling.

If everyone worked together with integrity and compassion, and if corruption were reduced, public funds could truly uplift families and communities. I hope for a world where no one is left behind – where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.
