Meet Zy
I joined Inspire in June 2026 as an Accountant, working mainly on tax and year-end processing, plus whatever ad hoc tasks come my way. I’m still in the early stages of my journey here, but so far it’s been a really positive one. Unlike some of my previous roles, I’ve been given proper time to train and settle in, and I can genuinely feel the patience from my supervisors and managers. Everyone has been warm and welcoming, which makes finding your feet in a new team so much easier.
What do you find most fulfilling about your job?
For me, it’s that feeling of satisfaction when you finish a job, especially a
reconciliation. There’s something about getting a file fully reconciled – once it’s done, you know exactly how to help your client. Everything boils down to that moment
How did you get into accounting?
Honestly? I didn’t choose it. My dad did. Growing up, I wanted to take up tourism and become a flight attendant. But when it came time for college, Dad’s position was simple: accounting or nothing. He saw it as a stepping stone to law, so I struck a deal with him – if I passed the board exam on the first try, I’d pursue law. I tried the board once. Never again. So no law degree for me (though watching my four-year-old daughter argue about absolutely everything, I suspect the lawyer gene skipped a generation). Looking back, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. When the pandemic hit, most of my flight attendant friends lost their jobs and had to start over on completely new paths. Meanwhile, my accounting background – especially my Australian accounting experience – carried me through that difficult time. So thanks, Dad
What is your favourite thing about working at Inspire?
No timesheets! It might sound small, but timesheets are one of the most inefficient things in accounting. You spend five minutes at the end of the day trying to remember what you actually did and where to record it against. Not having them here is a genuine breath of fresh air.
Outside of Inspire
Before I became a mum, I loved travelling locally – and I preferred travelling alone. I hate managing everyone else’s schedule (I can barely manage my own), and I really hate waiting. My best friend warns people that if I say we’re leaving at 7, you need to be there by 6:50.
These days, one of my favourite things is simply people watching. Give me a cafe, a book or a podcast, and I’ll happily sit there observing everyone around me and making up little stories about their lives. Some people think it’s weird, but it reminds me that deep down, we’re all pretty much the same. Just don’t expect me to strike up a conversation – I’m quite introverted like that.
Fun Fact
I’m Filipino, and I don’t like halo-halo. I know, I know. It’s nothing against the flavours – I love sweets. I just can’t stand my food being mixed together. Even on a regular plate, I don’t like my food touching. So a dessert whose entire identity is “everything mixed in one cup” was never going to win me over. As a kid, I’d just eat the ice and leave everything else behind.
Books, Movies, or Shows I Recommend
I love self-help books, and my all-time favourite is Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff – essential reading for a recovering control freak like me. For fiction, I’m a Dan Brown fan and own all of his books (still working through the latest one). For TV, it’s crime documentaries all the way. I love playing detective and trying to figure things out before the reveal. My husband finds my viewing habits slightly concerning, but I’ve assured him he has nothing to worry about. Probably.
Which Sustainable Development Goal(s) do you choose and why?
Goal 4: Quality Education. I believe quality education is the foundation for almost everything else on the list. If people have access to proper education, we can reduce hunger, improve health, and open up opportunity. Maybe I’m thinking as a mum here, but it matters most for young kids. When children are taught the proper way from the start, everything else has a chance to follow.
Meet Tara
I joined Inspire in March 2025 as a Client Service Coordinator, and it’s been such a fulfilling experience so far. Coming from a different background – I actually have a degree in Biology and used to work as a cabin crew member for Emirates Airline in Dubai, so accounting was a completely new field for me!
When I returned to the Philippines during the pandemic, I decided to explore a new career path and found myself working with an Australian accounting firm. That experience opened the door for me to join Inspire, where I’ve found not just a workplace, but a team that values growth, balance, and genuine care.
Every day at Inspire brings something new – whether it’s coordinating client requests, helping teammates with tasks, or handling ATO calls. I love the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving problems and making things easier for others.
Outside of Inspire
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my four-year-old daughter, who keeps me smiling and on my toes. I also enjoy playing Mobile Legends (I used to rank among the Top 10 Vexana players in the Philippines and UAE!) and watching anime, especially One Piece, which I’ve been following since high school.
I love tattoos and travelling, and I’ve collected tattoo designs from the places I’ve visited – each one holds a unique story or memory.

I’m a huge One Piece fan – so much so that I even have a devil-fruit tattoo inspired by the show!
What is your favourite thing about working at Inspire?
Definitely the work-life balance and the culture of understanding. I love that I can finish work by 3 p.m. and spend quality time with my daughter. Everyone here is approachable, supportive, and genuinely cares about your well-being (– it feels like being part of a big family that cheers each other on).
Which Sustainable Development Goal(s) do you choose and why?
Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 13: Climate Action
I chose these because I believe that education is the foundation for opportunity, especially in developing countries like the Philippines. It empowers people to rise above poverty and create better futures.
As for climate action – growing up in Bicol, a region often hit by typhoons, made me aware of how urgent the issue is. Protecting our environment means protecting our communities and future generations.
Meet Thea
I joined Inspire in June 2025 as a Client Service Coordinator, and it’s been such a valuable learning experience so far. My role covers a bit of everything – monitoring Sakshi’s inbox, onboarding and offboarding clients, lodging tax returns, PAYG instalments, BAS and IAS, sending lodgement confirmations, submitting deferral requests, calling and reminding clients about upcoming ASIC annual statements, creating Karbon work, and making sure our database stays up to date.
It’s been an exciting journey of growth and discovery. Working at Inspire has helped me strengthen my skills in client service, communication, and process management. I’ve also learned how much of a difference teamwork and support can make in keeping everything running smoothly.
The most fulfilling part of my role is completing tasks on time and ensuring everything I’m responsible for is updated and accurate. There’s a special satisfaction in ticking things off the list and knowing that I’m helping the team deliver great outcomes for our clients.
Outside of Inspire
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have two daughters, and most of my free time is devoted to them – whether that’s watching movies, having a quiet night in, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Family time always helps me recharge and reminds me what truly matters.
Fun Fact About You That We Don’t Know
I’m naturally an introvert, but once I feel comfortable around people, I can be surprisingly talkative! I also like to think I’m a very patient person – something that comes in handy both at work and at home.
What Is Your Favourite Thing About Working at Inspire?
Definitely the teamwork. I never feel alone in what I do – everyone is so approachable and ready to help when needed. There’s a genuine sense of support and collaboration here, and that makes even the busiest days feel manageable.
Biggest Impact So Far
I’d say my biggest impact so far has been being the go-to person for ASIC-related matters. Knowing that my teammates can rely on me in that area makes me proud and motivates me to keep improving.
