Outside of Inspire
I love spending time with my husband and partner in crime, Razim. We’re both family orientated people and so, on the weekends, we spend and cherish our time with the in-laws.
If we’re not with the in-laws, you’ll find us with our friends trying out new things, sometimes adventurous activities such as rock climbing or ice-skating.
In my alone time, my hobbies are crafting my own keychains and earrings using polymer clay. Now that my CA studies are coming to an end, I’ll have more time to do the things I love.
How did you get interested in accounting?
In all honesty, when I finished highschool I didn’t know what I wanted to do. My dad was the one who suggested accounting. Luckily enough, the moment I started working for an accounting firm, I fell in love with the industry. The more I worked on it, the more I liked it.
I actually started off as a receptionist. And because I really loved the environment and I knew I was good with numbers, I wanted to experience the other side of it — doing accounting. A year later, I found myself applying for an accounting role and later, moved into the tax division and enjoyed it even more.
